Poem: Jesus’ Death Changed the Game
JESUS DIED TO TAKE THE BLAME AND WHEN HE DID, HE CHANGED THE GAME.
Since the beginning, sin’s payment is death.
So forests of animals have been killed to pay for someone’s debt.
However, this blood could not perfectly remove the stains of our crime.
A more powerful blood is needed to please the Divine.
The perfect nature of God required a perfect payment; so Jesus came to earth to serve as our atonement.
Even a million good lives are unable to buy God’s salvation;
Only the Son’s death can give us propitiation.
The death of Jesus is so historic; his sacrifice, a praise-worthy feat!
That scene 2,000 years ago was so climactic; when he died, death waved its defeat!
For whosoever believes in Jesus shall rise from the ashes and live forevermore.
Yes, by the sacrifice of Jesus we can now freely enter heaven’s door!
