Shameless Worship 2

This then should give us the courage to be more expressive in the way that we love and thank God. When we are so in love we get to express our love publicly. We post on Facebook, we hold hands, we eat out, we cuddle, we hug, we laugh together, we give gifts. We get so expressive when we are in love, not feeling any hint of shame. It is not that we want to show off but that we are just in love.

If that is how we love our humans, proud and bold. I think God deserves so much more.

God deserves our shameless worship.

God deserves that we praise Him publicly.

God deserves that we post about Him, we write about Him, we serve Him proudly.

God deserves that we go wild in our worship, that we shout when we praise, that we give Him all that we have got.

If you are reading this and you sometimes feel uncomfortable in worshiping God publicly, or going all out in your worship, just remember that God went all out in the way that He loved you and me. He was not ashamed of loving us.

And right now, He has put us in a place where we can stand blameless – so let us give Him a worship that is shameless.

If you are a worship leader, I challenge you to model a kind of worship that really tells the world of how proud you are of Jesus and a level of praise that shows how in love you are with a God who is accessible and near. (To read Part 1, click this)
